ETI Technicians Gain Additional Accreditations

December 16, 2013

Technicians at Eastern Testing and Inspection Corp. (ETI) recently obtained several new certifications, further rounding out the company’s competitive range of testing and inspection expertise. The technicians completed programs offered through several industry organizations: the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) and the International Code Council (ICC).

The Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Educational Program offered by ICRI is based on ASTM test standards, including:

  • F 710   Preparing Concrete Floors to Receive Resilient Flooring; Section 5.3 pH Testing.
  • F 1869 Measuring Moisture Vapor Emission Rate of Concrete Subfloor Using Anhydrous Calcium Chloride
  • F 2170 Determining Relative Humidity in Concrete Floor Slabs Using in situ Probes
  • F 2420 Determining Relative Humidity on the Surface of Concrete Floor Slabs Using Relative Humidity Probe Measurement and Insulated Hood

Additional workshops and text exams included PTI’s Level 1 and 2 programs for unbonded post-tension (PT) inspectors and ICC’s education, certification and testing program.
